Crusader Caravans wins Caravan Manufacturer of the Year

Crusader Caravans won the Caravan Industry Victoria (CIV) Caravan and RV Manufacturer of the Year Award for 2021.

This auspicious award is one of the most highly sought-after awards in the Australian caravan industry, standing for excellence in Caravan & RV Manufacturing. This is the second time in a row that Crusader Caravans have won the award. The popular caravan manufacturer took out the industry’s top prize in 2019, and now again in 2021. The awards were postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Speaking today about the significance of the award Serge Valentino, Managing Director and Founder of Crusader Caravans said, “This award is the culmination of the hard work and dedication of my team who stop at nothing in our quest to build the best vans in the Australian caravan industry. Winning this award enables us to think and reflect on the last 18 months, a challenging period for many of us in the industry.

It also demonstrates that this achievement is possible thanks to the collective support from our staff, our customers, our dealer network, suppliers, and the CIV. We are proud to be part of this amazing industry and to be the recipients of this award.”

This highly contested award is judged by a panel of industry experts appointed by the CIV (Caravan Industry Victoria). The winner is selected through an intensive awards submission process where every aspect of the business is put under the microscope.

Crusader were recognised for their exceptional level of innovation present throughout the business from manufacturing, operations, sales, marketing, and support.

Taking only moments to reflect on the award before getting straight back on the job Serge said, “We are very thankful to have won this award twice in a row and the other awards we have won over the years, but what we really love doing is coming up with new and innovative designs and manufacturing processes to improve our caravans and ultimately all caravans.

Our world-class processes, designs, quality controls and vision weren’t put in place to win the award, although they met the CIV’s award criteria, they were developed to enable us to build caravans of superior quality and to help us transition into our new state of the art, purpose-built factory mid next year.

The new factory will double our production capacity and help us meet the growing demand for quality Australian built caravans.”
